Who we are

This site is operated by VQ Ayurveda — Salon Cassiopé, 1001 Jean-Talon Street East, Montréal (Québec) H2R 1V6. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights.

Information we collect

When you place an order: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number and order details.
When you create an account: first name, email and password.
When you write to us (contact form): name, email, phone number (optional), subject and message.
When you leave a review on a product: name, email, rating and comment. Only your name and your review are published; your email never is.
When you take the Dosha quiz: your answers, your result and the IP address of your connection. If you are logged in, the result is linked to your account.

Why we use it

We use your information only to:

process, ship and track your orders;
manage your customer account;
answer your questions and requests;
publish reviews of our products;
calculate your Dosha quiz result and improve our advice;
meet our legal obligations (for example, accounting and tax).

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. We neither receive nor store your credit card numbers: they are sent encrypted directly to PayPal, which processes them under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies that are essential for it to work: cart contents, login to your account, Dosha quiz session and preferences (for example “Remember me”). We do not use advertising cookies.

The map on the Contact page is provided by Google Maps; Google may set its own cookies there.

Sharing with third parties

We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to serve you: with our payment provider (PayPal), the carrier handling delivery (Canada Post) and our web host.

Retention and security

We keep your information as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by our legal obligations. We take reasonable measures to protect it; passwords are never stored in plain text.

Your rights

You may at any time ask to access your personal information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or request its deletion (subject to our legal obligations). If you have an account, you can also update your information in My account.

To exercise these rights, write to us at cassiope@saloncassiope.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
